Our photographers have been busy capturing some beautiful fall scenes in the Valley as the leaves are really turning vibrant colors and shades.
I was traveling through Sullivan County this weekend and the leaves were GORGEOUS there too – but as a safe driver, I have no pictures of that.
So we’ll have to settle for these wonderful shots!
This week it’s been cool and less humid in the Valley, and it appears our readers have been out and about taking in the late-summer scenery.

I say this every time i post Reader Photos, but I really am so impressed with the photos we receive each week from readers and post in our photo galleries.

Lewisburg Area high school sweethearts Sarah and Kyle are married on May 18, 2013. In honor of being high school sweethearts the couple rented a school bus and traveled to their high school to get pictures at the school where they met!

Yesterday, Daily Item photographer Rob Inglis and I went to Knoebels in search of people to talk about what makes the park one of the best in the nation, as documented on the Travel Channel’s new rankings which puts the park at #2 in the country.
We were having fun and enjoying a day out of the office when it came down to crunch time, aka when Rob was force to confront his fear of heights on the Ferris Wheel in order to get an arial shot of the park.
It wasn’t pretty for a minute there.

Now that the Prom Perfect contest is over, Daily Item readers have resumed sending in their artistic photos in, depicting life in the Valley in a unique and up-front way.
It’s also almost summertime – which means I’m in the mood to go outside, plant flowers and enjoy the sunshine – though as yesterday’s post reveals, this week hasn’t been the best for that.

I know that I’m no good at art – I took Photography I in college and that was enough to teach me that I didn’t have an artistic bone in my body.
But this week I found myself taking several scenic photos just for fun. They’re from a bunch of places around the Valley – and I wanted to share them with someone.
Feel free to share some critiques with me – but try not to be too harsh.
This was the sunset near my home in Danville yesterday. I wish the power lines weren’t there – but hey, I also like my electricity.
