I have some tree-related questions that maybe you readers can help me with.
Last week, photographer Rob Inglis and I were in downtown Lewisburg when we spotted this tree (above).
What was particularly noteworthy about the tree is it appears to be smaller crab apples on the bottom and larger green apple/crab apples on top. Neither of us had seen anything like that before.
Is it normal for apple trees to be like that? My parents have a crab apple tree, but it’s only the smaller red ones. I’ve never seen a “split” one.
Anyone out there know? What’s going on in downtown Lewisburg?!
I went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show for the first time last year. Twitter immortalized that experience for me:
And it was quite an experience.
I tried to hit everything I could and take in as much as possible, but it was hard to know what to do and see! Luckily, in case I go this year, Valley-ers have my back.
