Fall scenes in the Valley

Our photographers have been busy  capturing some beautiful fall scenes in the Valley as the leaves are really turning vibrant colors and shades.

I was traveling through Sullivan County this weekend and the leaves were GORGEOUS there too – but as a safe driver, I have no pictures of that.

So we’ll have to settle for these wonderful shots!

The leaves, they are a-changin’!

Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer …and that means it’s time for the annual regional traditions, like the changing of the leaves.

Yesterday, I saw some of those changes beginning to peep out, with some golds and reds beginning to mix with the traditional green of the leaves.

Summer is my favorite time, but I like fall too, and now I feel extra fall-y after seeing the leaves begin to change.

Although, honestly I could never understand why people would make a special trip/vacation to see the leaves change. I mean, it’s nice, but come on – it’s just leaves.

Either way, enjoy the beginning of fall, everyone!

The temperature has finally crawled above 50 and it’s time to celebrate with some spring-themed photos, courtesy of Daily Item readers.

Here’s my favorite springtime photos from the reader galleries:

Snow?!

If I have one complaint about winter it’s the snow.  The stuff that turns the streets of Central PA into a nightmare for drivers and ruins your new pants and shoe.

[Note, "snow" is not to be confused with my sister's adorable cockapoo, "Snowball."]

And it looks like we’re already into snow season – oh joy.

But if there’s one thing I do love about snow – it’s that it makes for some cute pictures.

There’s nothing better than taking pictures in front of a snowy field all bundled up or more beautiful than seeing a barn and farm covered under a layer of white.

I’ll definitely be posting my favorite snow scenes from around the Valley here – and please send me your snow photos – I’ll post them here so we can compare vantage points.

So bundle up and break out the smartphone – winter has arrived in Pennsylvania!
